Limestone mountain range formed 145 million years ago, the Séranne mountain range leaves its mark thanks to its impressive silhouette. This 25km long natural limestone barrier culminates in the Roc Blanc at 942 meters above sea level. The Séranne moutain range is a noteworthy element of the Languedoc's landscape, thanks to its cirque, its cliffs and its slender reliefs. This dry landscape, which is typical of the Mediterranean climate, offers a vast stretch yet untouched by human activities. The low vegetation is essentially made of guarrigue, particularly of box trees and of holm oaks.
